Who Is the Train Bearer?
The Train Bearer or should I say Train Bearers (because they usually come in pairs) can be boys or girls or both. The children are usually between the ages of 3 and 7 and can be a close relative or the son of a close friend.
What Is the Train Bearer's Role?
The primary duty of the Train Bearer is to carry the Bride's train and help her arrange it.
Appropriateness of Train Bearer
Train Bearers really are only appropriate in formal weddings where the bride has a very long train. Its really funny to see Train Bearers following a short train.
The Train Bearer and The Rehearsal
Although the Train Bearer needs to be at the Rehearsal he does not attend the Rehearsal Dinner.
The Train Bearer and The Receiving Line
In addition, the Train Bearer does not stand in the receiving line.
What Does the Train Bearer Wear?
The Train Bearer's attire should be the same as the Flower Girl's and the Ring Bearer's.
The Train Bearer's Parents Responsibilities
The Train Bearer's parents should be responsible for paying for her attire and they should also attend to him after the wedding ceremony.
My daughter is planning to use just 1 trainbearer. My 4 year old grand daughter (she will be 5 by the wedding).
I also have twin granddaughters that she wants to use as flower girls. They will be 5 at the time of the wedding s well.
I think the twins should be the trainbearers & only have 1 flower girl. But she has her mind made up, & is not bending on the issue.
Also the dresses she has chosen for the flower girls have trains on them as well. Should the trainbearers dress have a train as well?
