Who Is the Ring Bearer?
The Ring Bearer should be a small boy between the ages of 3 and 7. He can be a close relative or the son of a close friend.
What Is His Role?
The Ring Bearer's main responsibility is to carry the rings on a satin pillow and tied securely with a ribbon. It is generally not a good idea to allow him to carry the real rings. Most couples have him carry fake rings instead.
The Ring Bearer walks down the aisle immediately after the Flower Girl before the Bride. Sometimes he walks with the Flower Girl.
The Ring Bearer and The Rehearsal
Although the Ring Bearer needs to be at the Rehearsal he does not attend the Rehearsal Dinner.
The Ring Bearer and The Receiving Line
In addition, the Ring Bearer does not stand in the receiving line.
What Does He Wear?
Ring Bearers usually wear an outfit that is specifically designed for Ring Bearers but some wear little tixedos. Click here to read my article specifically about dressing the Ring Bearer.
The Ring Bearer's Parents Responsibilities
The Ring Bearer's parents should be responsible for paying for his attire and they should also attend to him after the wedding ceremony.
