Shoes & Stockings Shoes Generally if the bridesmaids' dresses are any color other than black or white, you will be having the shoes dyed to match the dress. I suggest you obtain the shoe sizes from all of the women and have them dyed in the same store. This way they will all turn out to be the same color. You can either collect money from your attendants when you deliver the shoes or you can give them as a gift. If the dresses are black or white, why not let them wear their own shoes. Let them all be different and let them save some money! StockingsAs for their stockings, I suggest that the Bride buy all of their hosiery in the same color and give them as a gift. Choose a sheer neutral color such as pearl or nude or even black if their dresses are black. JewelryBridesmaids shouldn't worry too much about their jewelry. The bride will usually specify what type of jewelry her bridesmaids should wear. EarringsMany times the bride will give the same pair of earrings to each bridesmaid as a gift. This way all of the bridesmaids will match. Sometimes the bride will ask all of her bridesmaids to wear their hair up. In this case matching earrings are very important. However, if the attendants are wearing their hair down, the earrings shouldn't be a major concern. If the bridesmaids are choosing their own earrings, they should stick to smaller pearl or diamond studs. Some small pearl teardrop earrings are also appropriate. Bracelets & NecklacesGenerally, bridesmaids should not wear any type of bracelet or necklace unless the bride specifies that each bridesmaid should wear a specific piece, such as a pearl choker. WatchesBridesmaids should never, ever wear a watch! Other AccessoriesAs for other accessories, bridesmaids shouldn't wear any visible hair accessories such as barrettes, headbands or clips. If the bridesmaids are to wear gloves, the bride will specify.
