Very Formal

A very formal evening wedding is usually held after 6 p.m. with 200 or more guests.

  • Dress: Long and elaborate
  • Accessories: Headpieces and gloves
  • Shoes: High heel
  • Bouquet: Any style

Formal

A formal evening wedding is usually held after 6 p.m. with 100 to 200 guests.

  • Dress: Long or short
  • Accessories: May include headpieces and gloves
  • Shoes: Heel appropriate for dress
  • Bouquet: Any style

Semi-Formal

A semi-formal evening wedding can be held at any time of the evening, usually in a home or chapel with 100 guests or less.

  • Dress: Street-length
  • Shoes: Heel appropriate for dress
  • Bouquet: Small

Informal

An informal evening wedding can be held at anytime of day and is usually small with only family and friends attending.

  • Dress: Suit or dress
  • Shoes: Heel appropriate for dress
  • Bouquet: Small bouquet or corsage

Can you please help me? I have 2 teenage boys ages 15 & 17. They are surfer types very kicked back. Can you help me dress them for their cousins wedding? Do they have to wear a suit? Also is a long dress for me to wear okay for this event? The wedding starts at 3:30 followed by a reception at 5pm at the Donald Trump Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Cany you please help us?
