Buy a Smaller Bouquet to Throw
First of all, if you want to preserve your bridal bouquet, you should order another smaller bouquet to throw during the bouquet toss. You may think that you will get your bouquet back after this event, but the odds are that you won't. And, even if you do, it will probably be destroyed!
Preserve It Yourself
You could also preserve your bouquet yourself. Below I have provided some instructions on how to do this.
Please Note: These instructions are based on our research and are provided here for you to use at your own risk. Neither I nor AtlantaBridal.com will be responsible if these instructions provide an undesirable result.
Two Options for Preserving Your Bouquet Yourself
- Option 1:
Place the bouquet in a box and completely cover it with silica gel. This process takes about one week.
- Option 2:
If you want to display your bouquet in a frame, you should use this method that takes 6-8 weeks.
Separate the bouquet and place it between newspapers. Then cover it with books or other heavy objects to flatten it.
Have Your Florist or a Specialist Preserve Your Bouquet
There are several ways to preserve your bouquet. The easiest and safest way is to have your florist do it. The florist will remove the moisture and spray it with a protective solution. Your bouquet can be displayed in a shadow box or under glass.
