Wedding Videography Saving TipsSubmitted By: Tracy Misner, Videotimes, Inc. Bring Another Bride With You! One of the biggest ways of saving money is to bring in a friend who is getting married and book at the same time - asking the videographer for a discount!! More than likely, you can get some discount because he books 2 jobs in the time it took to book 1 job!! Ask For A DiscountAsk him/her for a discount. Many times you may catch the videographer in a cash tight position. If you are prepared to book on the spot with a deposit, you may be able to get him to come down on price. Ask for a discount if you pay the balance up front. Again, you might be able to negotiate a discount by paying the balance up front. Pay With A Credit Card That Has A Rewards ProgramIf you are tight with cash, ask if they accept credit cards. As Clark Howard puts it, pay with a card that offers rewards such as skymiles!! Pay In Monthly InstallmentsPay your vendor in equal monthly installments with either pre-printed checks or credit card to minimize the burden. Ask About Referral IncentivesRefer your videographer business. Ask your videographer if they offer monetary incentives for your referrals. Get his cards and talk him up. One client sent us enough business that we shot his son's Bar Mitzvah for free!!! Use A Bridal ConsultantUtilize a bridal consultant. Many times a bridal consultant has vendors that they work with regularly. The consultant brings so much business to the videographer that he gives a discount. Even if you don't get a discount, you can be assured that you have a reputable vendor. © Tracy Misner, Videotimes, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia
